Kedarnath Tour Agency – Terms and Conditions

Booking and Payment:

  • All inquiries and communications regarding tours and travel services should be directed to Kedarnath Tour Agency.
  • To confirm your booking, an advance payment is required. The exact amount depends on the service type and the time before departure. The advance payment amount will be determined by our management team.
  • In some cases, such as special train journeys or bookings during peak season (e.g., Christmas, New Year), full payment may be required in advance.

Payment Methods:

  • International advance payments can be made via wire transfer to our designated bank account or through UPI. Payment details will be provided upon booking confirmation.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Written notice is required for any cancellations. Cancellation charges will apply based on the date we receive the written notice.

Kedarnath and Surrounding Tours (Including Muktinath Trek):

  • Cancellations 25 days or more before departure: 30% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations 18-24 days before departure: 40% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations 10-17 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations less than 10 days before departure: 80% cancellation fee.

Force Majeure:

  • If your trip is cancelled due to unforeseen events beyond our control (such as a pandemic, political unrest, or a natural disaster), a 40% cancellation fee will apply.

Trekking & Mountain Climbing:

  • The cancellation fees for trekking and mountain climbing are as follows:
    • Cancellations 25 or more days before departure: 30% of total cost.
    • Cancellations 18-24 days before departure: 40% of total cost.
    • Cancellations 10-17 days before departure: 50% of total cost.
    • Cancellations less than 10 days from trek start date: 80% of total cost.
  • No refunds will be given once the trek or tour has commenced.
  • You can reschedule your trek or tour to a future date without any charges if you notify us at least 15 days before the original start date.

Cancellation Terms:

  • Written cancellations will only be accepted on weekdays (excluding Sundays). Cancellations received on Sundays will be processed on the following Monday.
  • For the Christmas and New Year period (December 20th to January 5th), all payments are non-refundable.
  • If a cancellation occurs after the tour has started, refunds will be limited to amounts recoverable from our partners (hotels, contractors, etc.). We are not responsible for refunds on unused hotel accommodation, transportation, or missed meals.

Our Liabilities and Limitations:

  • Any increase in entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges after finalizing the tour cost will be passed on to you.
  • The itineraries provided are general outlines and may change due to factors such as weather, road conditions, or participant abilities. We reserve the right to adjust schedules to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Our rates are based on negotiated rates with hotels, airlines, etc. These rates are subject to change, and adjustments may be made accordingly.
  • Hotel bookings are subject to standard check-in and check-out times unless otherwise specified.
  • We are not liable for any delays, alterations, or expenses due to factors such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, accidents, weather, or other unforeseen events.
  • We are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to person or property arising from accommodation, transportation, or other services provided, including incidents resulting from acts of God, accidents, political unrest, strikes, theft, or any causes beyond our control.
